Buck Lively Scholarship Fund |

BUCK LIVELY was involved in various facets of the water supply industry for many years. He was one of the founders of the MOUNTAIN STATES GROUNDWATER EXPO and instrumental in helping arrange our first EXPO in Albuquerque in 1989. Buck remained a member of the Board of Directors until his untimely death in February, 1997 - only a couple of weeks after the EXPO was held at the River Palms in Laughlin, Nevada.
In addition to the time and effort he contributed to the EXPO itself, he also provided an incredible BBQ at the end of our show on Saturday afternoons. These BBQ’s not only provided an excellent meal before everyone left for home but also gave them one more opportunity to share ideas, discuss the show or just visit with each other.
In honor of Buck's memory and the contributions he made to the EXPO, the BUCK LIVELY SCHOLARSHIP FUND was established in 1998. All proceeds from this annual Auction & Raffle are split equally among the Ground Water and Water Well Associations of Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah for their scholarship programs.
Our auctioneers, Dave and Fran Depuy (www.depuyauction.com), donated their services in 1998 and have continued to do so ever since. We very much appreciate their time, effort and dedication to help make our Auction & Raffle such a success!
